Mazzorbetto is an island of the lagoon of Venice on the north of the Mazzorbo island, the two separated only by the Mazzorbo canal. The property, Villa Mazzorbetto, has a private pier on this canal and it is surrounded by a luxuriant garden with a charming arbor.
The Villa had been restored by the owners using the original bricks and part of the cotto tiles flooring. It boasts some unique features such as the kitchen worktop in pink marble, a wooden partition, that separate the kitchen from the sitting area, previously placed in the Palazzo Van Axel, and an original mosaic bathtube.
A private garden of approx. 2.300sqm completes the property.
The Villa is composed of a ground floor with an entrance hall, a living room with kitchen corner, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a roomy storage room. From the entrance hall a wooden staircase leads to the first floor that consists in a bedroom, another bedroom/studio room and a second bathroom.
The island of Mazzorbetto is situated on the north of the picturesque and tranquil island of Mazzorbo, separated from the latter only by the Mazzorbo canal. Mazzorbo is connected by a bridge to the famous island of Burano, well known for its typical colored houses and its artisanal tradition of crochet and needlework.
In the area there are famous restaurants and “trattorie” such as; “da romano”, “al gato nero” in Burano, and “alla Maddalena” or “Venissa” in Mazzorbo, which itself is known for its cuisine and the antique Dorona wine variety, with its unique taste due to the salty and sand-like land of the islands of the laguna.
The island of Torcello is also easily accessible with its Byzantine-Venetian churches and Mosaics.
